Genuine Leather Suspension Harness

A leather suspension harness is a full-body strap system made from heavy leather, with strong rings for tying off and lifting. Ours is hand-cut from full-grain cowhide, double-stitched at every seam, and fitted with solid metal buckles, rivets and D-rings. It is made for adults who already know their way around rope and want a harness they can trust every time they buckle it on.

Why we made this harness

We kept hearing the same thing from customers. Cheap harnesses look good in photos, then the stitching pulls, the rings bend and the straps dig in after ten minutes. That is a horrible feeling when your partner's weight is on the line.

So we went the other way. We cut every strap from full-grain cowhide, the toughest layer of the hide, and we leave the grain intact so the leather keeps its strength. Each seam is stitched twice. The points that take the most strain are riveted. The hardware is solid metal, not plated plastic or thin wire.

When you pull your leather suspension harness out of the box, you will feel the weight of it straight away. That weight is the point.

What you get

  • Full-grain cowhide, hand-cut and edge-finished by hand

  • Double-stitched seams with rivets at the main stress points

  • Solid metal D-rings for tying off and attachment

  • Solid metal buckles for a secure, adjustable fit

  • One adjustable size across the chest, waist and legs

  • Made to order in our workshop

  • Plain, unbranded packaging with tracked delivery

How it feels to wear

Good leather changes with you. The first few wears feel firm, almost stiff, and that is normal. Give it a little time and the straps soften and settle around your shape. After a few months it feels like it was made for you alone, because in a way it was.

The straps are wide on purpose. Wider leather spreads pressure across a bigger area, so the harness holds you without biting into the skin. Most people tell us that is the difference they notice first.

Sizing and fit

This leather suspension harness comes in one size with buckle adjustment at the chest, waist and thighs. You want it snug enough that nothing slides when you move, with room to slip two fingers under each strap. If you are between sizes, or you want a custom fit, message us before you order and we will talk it through with you.

Leather suspension harness vs a fashion harness

A fashion body harness is mostly about the look. The straps are thinner, the rings are often light, and the leather may be split or bonded. It is lovely for a night out, but it was never meant to carry a person.

A suspension harness is built around strength first. Thick full-grain straps, solid hardware, double stitching and rivets all exist so the harness holds its shape under real load. If you only want a statement piece for a party, our chest harness or full body harness will suit you better and cost less.

Please use it safely

We care about the people who wear our gear, so we will be straight with you. Suspension is one of the riskiest things you can do in rope play.

  • Check the leather, stitching and rings before every session. If anything is cracked, frayed or bent, stop.

  • Tie off only to a rated suspension point with rated hardware. Never use a door frame, a beam you have not checked, or furniture.

  • Never leave someone hanging alone, not even for a minute. Keep safety shears within reach.

  • Keep it short. Hanging still for too long slows blood flow from the legs, which is known as suspension trauma. It can also press on nerves.

  • Bring them down straight away if they mention numbness, tingling, dizziness or feeling faint.

  • If you are new to suspension, learn from an experienced rigger first. A few hours of hands-on teaching is worth more than any product description.

This is adult gear for play between consenting adults. It is not safety equipment and must never be used for work at height or fall protection.

Caring for your harness

Wipe your leather suspension harness with a damp cloth after each use and let it air-dry away from radiators and direct sun. Condition the leather about twice a year so it stays supple and does not crack. Store it flat or hanging, somewhere cool and dry. Look after it and it will look after you for years.

Delivery and returns

Every leather suspension harness is made by hand and leaves our workshop within 7 to 12 business days. Shipping is free and tracked worldwide, and we pay the customs duties, so there is nothing extra to pay when it arrives. It comes in a plain box with no logos or product names on the outside. If it is not right for you, you have 30 days to return it.
